Bolting Creates a False Confidence

In this video a climber cannot go any further. Instead of resting or climbing down to his last protection point he just jumps off trusting the bolt. Since bolts appear so sturdy people neglect proper technique and safety precaustions trusting the bolt to do all the work. Sometimes using bolts can be an indirect cause of an injury or death by causing a false sense of safety.
